True Friends

Hey girls!
How have you been?
I'm sorry that I haven't posted lately. I just haven't thought about it. I really need to get back into my Day in Pictures series, I just always seem to forget to take the pictures! ;P
Today I'm going to talk about something that's been on my mind...true friends.

They are really hard to find. There are always going to be people out there who are going to judge you, and you know what, they don't deserve to be your friends if that's the way they treat you.
I recently (within the past couple months) had problems with two of my good friends and it ended with our friendship breaking up. With my first friend, we kinda just faded apart, and she really didn't talk to me anymore when I text her or anything. The second friend judged me on something that I didn't want to start doing on my blog and other stuff, and said some pretty mean words to me. (Not going to get in details on either of these ;))
You know, in both of these cases, I really I thought these were friends I would be talking to forever. Now I'm starting to realize, it's really hard to find those friends that will always be there for you. That really just accept you for who you are, no judging, and keep with you through the ups and downs.
I can only think of just a small handful of people who will actually stay by me forever.

It is hard when a friend treats you like you're nothing, or act like they're better than you, but it can really show you who you're true friends are! I know my family will always be there for me, and I have my best friends that I do my co-op with and another best friend that I talk to nearly every day! :)
These are the kind of friends I like. I shouldn't ever have to feel bad about myself because of a friend, or feel less than I really am.
Can any of you relate?
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a sparkly day!
~Katie

  1. I can relate. They are hard to find. But even if I don't have a friend always there for me, God will be there always. No matter where you're at, or what you're doing, He's there, ready to listen and help guide you. Next to The Lord, my siblings have been my best friends. I like that picture. :)
There is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother, and that's Jesus.
    Love,
    Ashley

For the wages of son is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
