Today I have a guest post from my awesome friend, Ashley!


Hello Everyone!
I want to start off by thanking Katie for allowing me to do a guest post on her awesome blog. :DMy name is Ashley, and I blog at Precious Moments.I hope you go over there, take a look, and follow my blog by email. I also have a crochet store. It's called Ashley's Crochet Corner. I can make baby hats, booties, headbands, pot holders, etc. So if you know anyone that is in need of some baby things, tell them about me, please. :) Or if you would like to purchase a headband or something else, just shoot me a message and I will be happy to make it. I don't have them for sale yet, but if many people are interested, I will start adding fingerless gloves and other things to the store. If you would like to order something that's not listed, just email me and I will work with you. :) The money goes to help our persecuted brothers and sisters in the Lord get Bibles. Voice of the Martyrs does a wonderful job getting the Scriptures to those who don't have it. Please remember to keep them in your prayers, as they are suffering alot for Jesus Christ.
I just wanted to throw something else out there. If you are in need of a new blog design, and you want a picture you took to be on the top of your blog, or you just want a different simple design, I would be glad to assist you. I love helping people with their blogs, so if you want pages, contact me box, button, or whatever else you can think of, I would love to help you add those things onto your blog for free. Watermelon Nail Art Tutorial

Hey girls!
So today I've decided to do a nail art tutorial and share it with you guys! They are the worst quality pictures ever, but that's because I took them with my phone. ;)
At first when I started painting them, I was going for more of a strawberry nail look, but then I realized they looked more like watermelons when I finished. ;P

So first you choose your colours. The red in the picture below looks a bit orangish.

I would suggest using a bright red!

Cover your whole nail, minus the tips, with this colour. I only had to do one coating, but it depends what nail polish you use.

 

Then use a nail polish with a thinner brush. I think I used L.A Colours Art Deco in lime. And I just got it from the dollar tree. ;) So, next just colour the tips of your nails with this colour to kind of look like the rinds of the watermelon.

 

Then next, You use a Nail art pen to draw on the seeds. Make sure your nail polish is completely dry before this next step. I used Kiss nail artist fine art pen. I think this was a few dollars and I got it from Food City. Yeah, a weird place to buy nail art supplies. ;)

 

 

And here's the finished project!

I used a clear coating over my nails because the nail art pen rubs off super quickly. (Like within a few hours) But I painted my nails like 8 hours ago, and my nails are still looking perfect, so the clear coat has seemed to do its job! :)

How long have you been blogging?
Well, I've been blogging since I think August 2014, but I just started this specific blog a few days ago.

What was the last thing you did?
Last thing I did? Hmm...Other than writing this post and stuff, I started some laundry in the washer.

If you could travel back in time three years and visit your younger self, what advice would you give yourself?
Be who I am. Don't let others try to tell you who to be.

What five words do you think most describe you?
Kind, Loyal, Silly, Trustworthy, and Weird.

If you could make an imaginary world, what would it be like?
Good question! It'd be a world where humans can communicate with all animals, and animals can communicate with humans. I'm not sure what else. Maybe each person could have their own unique power.

Would you rather read a book or watch a movie?
I enjoy both. But it is very rare that I ever find a movie that is way better than the book. ;)

If you could be any animal, what would you be? Why would you be that animal?
Well, there are a few animals that I would be, but I'll just choose one. It'd be cool to be some sort of big cat. Like a jaguar or cheetah or something. And I just love cats of all sorts! :)

What is your favourite movie?
My favourite movie...that's really hard. I like so many. I really like Frozen, Hunger Games, and Tangled. Those are just a few!

What are some of your hobbies?
I love to read, draw, write, run, and many other things!
