Hair Dye Fun/Surprises!

Hey everyone!
Today I have some unique hair dye ideas I got from Pinterest (Yes, of course, Pinterest!)! Now, chances are I won't ever dye my hair, but it's still fun to see some of the interesting styles that people have come up with. Normally I just like to use coloured mascara or hair extensions to get my coloured hair. ;P It's seriously hard to choose a favourite out of these! I love them all, like a lot! ;)

Which one's your favourite? I really like the pastel rainbow, blue, and purple ones! If you got your hair dyed one of these, which one would you choose?
Now onto my surprise.....................................
I have a big surprise for my blogiversary coming up in a couple of weeks!! You don't get to know it yet, but I have it all planned and I'm really looking forward to it!! I was debating whether or not to go ahead and start the "blogiversary celebration" now, or to wait until it comes up.... ;P I hope you guys are excited about it, and stay tuned for my surprise coming up soon! ;)
Have a sparkly day!

Nail Art Tutorial #1- Beach

Hey everyone!
Today I'm here to share with you an awesome nail art idea (A beach nail art!) I discovered on Pinterest the other day! Ok, well more like a few months ago, and I just now got to doing it...
Anyway, it's very simple, and doesn't require a ton of fancy tools to get the design right. Like with any nail art, it does take a little while to do, mainly because of all the drying time. It IS suppose to look a little rough, because they are waves, and I wanted to give them a bit of texture! Let's get started!

It's not that important which colours you use, as long as they are similar to the beach-y kinda colours. In case if you're wondering though...
From left to right the colours are.....
OPI Nail Lacquer in No Room for the Blues
NYC Long wearing nail enamel in Tudor City Teal
Pure Ice in Bare it All (This is a sparkly gold)
and Julep in Shelly
The nail art pen above it is Kiss in black.

I thought I'd also share this good dupe for the Julep colour. They're both practically the same colour, but the Julep one is $14, when I got the Color Craze at the Dollar Tree. The only difference is a SLIGHT difference in colour, and the pigmentation. The Julep one is more pigmented and only takes two coats, compared to Color Craze's 3 coats.

Now on to the tutorial! Sadly, I don't have any pictures to share with you because I wasn't even planning on doing a tutorial until today.
1. Paint your whole nails with your choice of light blue (like Julep or Color Craze).
2. Next, after it's completely dry, apply a one layer of a darker blue shade, a little ways up from the bottom of your nail.
3. Just above the dark blue, apply a layer of sea green. It's fine if the colours blend a little. In fact, it may even look better!
4. On the tips of your nail, apply a glittery gold colour. This is the sand!
5. Finally, this last step is optional, draw a couple of birds with a black nail art pen, to the bottom of the nail, aka, the sky.
TA-DA!

Here's the finished product! I hadn't cleaned it up yet, in case if you notice it's a little messy on the edges! ;P

There you have it! I'd love for you to try this design out, and maybe even send me some pictures of it, and I'll even put it on my blog!
Would you like to see more tutorials in the future?
Do you like nail art?

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

Hey everyone!
Guess what?? I'm back!
I've made the decision, now that it's been a few months, to continue blogging on my original blog! I've been blogging on another blog, which I'm not announcing the other's blog's name or anything. I'm hopefully going to be back to posting regularly about the stuff I use to most about, nail art, Pinterest, and what not, and I may include a few new stuff such as book reviews, and maybe even a few product reviews!
Anyway, I'm glad to be back, and should have a new fun post up soon!
Any requests for post ideas??
Have a sparkly day!

I'm Leaving.

Hey everyone!
I have news.
I've decided I'm leaving Sparkly Ambitions blog. I feel a little sad leaving now, but I feel like I need a fresh start.
I don't really want to share my new blog's link with anyone either.
I've been judged in one way or another by most of you, and I don't mean that in a mean way, but it's what I need to say. I feel like I just need to get a fresh start somewhere else.
I don't want to be judged on my beliefs, what I wear, or my lifestyle anymore.
It's been really fun doing Sparkly Ambitions for the past year, but now it's time to move on. :)
Have a sparkly life!

Pinterest #3- Nail Art: Spring Edition

Hey everyone!
How have you been?
So today I have a few Pinterest Nail Art inspirations to share with you! These are kind of more on the spring side. I'm really into nail art, so I have quite a few ideas saved, but I'm only going to share the spring-ish ones today! ;)

I REALLY love these!! I don't normally wear matte nail polish, but these are actually super cute!

Ooooo, I love the blue-green colour so much!!

Turtles!!!

I actually think I can do this one, assuming I have the right colours. ;)

I've done a pineapple nail art before, but this one looks a BIT more advanced than I would normally like just because of all the small pineapples, haha !

I'm not much of a nail artist, but I know I could definitely do a few of these !;P
Which one is your favourite? I can't even choose a favourite!! They're all so cute!
Would you like me to post pictures if I try them? :)
Have a sparkly day!

Follow Up Post~The Real Me

Hey everyone!
I'm sure most, if not all, of you have read my most recent post "The Real Me~For My Readers".
I feel the need to do a follow up post...this is the last post I'm doing on religion, and I am going back to post my normal stuff after this. I just felt the need to discuss this topic.
Now, the point of "The Real Me~For My Readers" post, was NOT to get judged, and just to let everybody know my views on certain topics, and let THEM decide if they were still comfortable following someone who didn't share their same religious views.
Honestly, I did feel a bit judged by a few of you, even if you meant well. I decided not to respond to any of the comments or questions, because I don't want to pick and choose which comments I reply to, because then that's me judging your comments. So if you had a question, just out of curiosity, not being judgmental, feel free to message me personally about it, and I'd love to answer it.
I don't mind answering just out of curiosity questions, about why I believe these things, as long as it's not being pushed to judgement eventually. I feel that my relationship with my God is very personal and not really open to discussion.
I've had a few of you come to me saying that you're praying for me or have come to me trying to reason why my beliefs aren't the correct ones. I don't want any of this. The point of my post, like I said, was NOT to get judged. I don't need or actually WANT any of your prayers, I would just like people to accept me for my beliefs, and move on, and actually learn about the person that I am, not just judge me on whether or not I believe gay marriage is acceptable or not acceptable.
I've already lost a couple of people because they didn't want to talk to me anymore after they found out that my beliefs didn't match up to theirs. I'm just glad that I caught these people early though, and now I won't feel really hurt if they judged me later on in our friendship. A true friend wouldn't judge someone that quickly just because their beliefs didn't match up. A few of you though, have accepted me and just moved on, and I really do appreciate that. Nobody should be judged on their beliefs.
I'm moving on to my regular posts again now, and I'm not really open to discussing this anymore. If you have a problem with my views, I don't want you to give me a list of Bible verses and pray for me, please. I just would like my views to be accepted, even if you don't agree with them. That's totally fine!
I think I've covered all I would like to cover.
I hope you have a sparkly day!

The Real Me~~For My Readers

Hey everyone!
How are you doing?
I feel like there are a few subjects I should touch bases on...they've been on my mind a lot.
Everyone knows me as a Christian, and I am...kinda. I may not be the definition of a Christian in quite a few of my readers' books, but I am in mine. I do believe in a higher power such as God, because someone must have created this earth and life, but I don't believe that it played out exactly how the Bible states it. I believe it may have occurred over millions of years, and he didn't exactly just say, "let there be light". These are just my feelings though.

I'm really not much of a Bible-reader to be honest. I haven't read my Bible in over a year. I just don't agree with most of what it says. For example, it says to love him above all else, and I know that I don't. I most definitely love my family more than him. For me at least, it's just full of a lot of judgmental stuff, and it doesn't make me happy when I read it. I find myself happier when I'm reading books like Harry Potter, Mortal Instruments, or Hunger Games, and God wants me to happy. Personally, I feel he hasn't put me on this earth, just to read the Bible, worship him, and witness to others. I don't see anything wrong with watching movies with "witchcraft" in it.

Also, I don't see anything wrong with gay marriage or being transgender, not at all. I know that a lot of you disagree with this statement, but like I said, this is just how I feel. God wouldn't have created someone to be gay, and then say it's wrong. Most people don't just choose to be gay just because and have to deal with everyone judging them and making fun of them just for that. In my opinion, gay marriage is just fine, and I was glad when they made it legal.

I also had someone recently judge me on my recent outfit post, telling me how immodest it was, and how I was showing off my body for men and giving them unnecessary sinful thoughts. My modesty opinion is my own. I'm not going to cover my whole body in clothing. I don't control what those men think, they control it themselves, and trust me, when I wear shorts, I'm not wearing them so men can be looking at my body. I wear them because I like wearing shorts, and I'm comfortable in them. I consider myself quite a modest girl, but that doesn't mean I really want to wear skirts and dresses all the time. If that's what you like to do and that's what makes you happy, great! :) It's just not really my style.

I've had a few people judging me lately on the kind of person they "think" I am. This blog isn't a Christian blog, so I'm not going to be posting a lot of Christian stuff if that's what you're here for. What I'm getting at with this post is that I'm done with being judged. Most of you don't really know the real me. Only a very small handful of people do. If you have a problem with my views, then I'm not forcing you to keep reading my blog. I don't want a ton of people saying either that they're are going to be praying for me, because I don't want to just be "pitied" because I'm supposedly a "lost soul". These are just my opinions, and some of you may not agree with them, but that doesn't mean I'm a bad person. So if you don't want to continues reading my blog because of the person you think I am, then sorry, I'm not going to feel bad about my beliefs, and you can't make me feel bad. This blog was never suppose to be a Christian blog.  I am a good person, and only a few people have actually taken the time to get to know me for the real me, and haven't judged me a single time for my beliefs, and those are the people I know I can trust and talk to.
